Social Media Runs Awry

I don't know about you, but the Social Media life is giving me a run for my money!  I thought I was doing pretty good having signed up for Linked In, and WPG (and the internal groups there like QuickBooks Pro Advisors, Action Community & TAB).  Then there's my blog, which I love but don't do enough of, and of course maintaining the Quicksilver website. I don't twitter - I  really don't think anyone cares what I am doing every twenty minutes.   Then there' the Yahoo email groups that help me stay in contact with my peers.

But now there  is a new network, the 3rd Street Plaza! And to tell you the true, it looks pretty darn interesting, so here I am again, signing up and getting invites to be 'friends'!  There certainly is some overlapping of 'friends' here in Wilmington, as they are also connected to me in other social groups, but there are several fresh faces, and I think Ty Downing, who created it on Ning did a wonderful job.  Kudos Ty.

I keep on asking the same question when I see people,  how do we get the most out of these experiences?  To that end, I purchased a book the other day at B&N called Social Media Marketing, an Hour a Day.   I hope it's going to explain to me just how I can be a good friend to all my co-horts that are also wondering the same thing.

I'm not sure how anyone is getting any work done... as for me, I believe the social aspect of owning your own business is the icing on the cake.  Chat soon!   Terry
